Where does the time go? One minute it is the middle of summer and the kids are tracking mud from the park through the front door... next thing you know, it is almost Thanksgiving, and what the heck?!?....the kids are still tracking in mud! Oh well, that is what carpet cleaner is for. Blake is still in Utah, we are still here. We see each other on the weekends, but it is really getting old!
Haley has a solo in the upcoming band concert. On a recorder! So now we can proudly boast that she plays 4 instruments... flute, piccolo, recorder, and of course her voice! Blake has added a new instrument to his vast repertoire... air guitar. Now he plays... oh yeah, the air guitar!
Chase is working on wrapping up his Tenderfoot. Ben SHOULD be getting his wolf. Jack is at Miss Di's with Morgan, and he likes that. He will actually come home and practice his letters and numbers... whereas I have to beat the two other boys to get them to pull out any homework!
To all my friends and family- I love you!

William Tell Overature
This works best when the William Tell Overature is Hummed. (Think Lone Ranger)
Carlie's due any day, doesn't that sound grand! And gas prices have gotten out of hand. Blake took a job in another state, summer's fi--nally here can't wait! Hyrum and Morgan are getting big, but Grandma Cathi's losing weight, Lauren is swimming with such ease and Anna's crawling Gee how great! Benny just entered cub scouts, with Cameron and Jacob too. Chase entered into scouting, Haley's texting- what can we do?!? Grandpa is working at the airport, Jeff's bear hunting now that's a sport- Amy just colored her lovely hair and I'm folding kids underwear! Madeline Jo is a princess who is ready to welcome little ____, and Sammy, Gabe and Katie well, we miss them but what can I say? Joni is quite the doctor, and Darrin is Mr. Mom. Dirk got a big promotion, and Shannon is oh so strong. Well my house is for sale, so is mom and dad's- but nobody's looking, so that's too bad- Time to fix dinner, and then to run- late practices are oh so fun! Hope you enjoyed this little tune, it's just a way to fill you in. Having fun while you type being cre--a--tive surely that can't be a great big sin. Just want to say I love you, and hope you are doing well. Time sure is flying quickly, can't believe it, but what the_____ (heck... ha ha I caught you!) I've got to run, but I'll see you soon, or send me a text this afternoon. How do I end this tune of mine? I will stop- since Jack began to whine!

Summer Delights
For the past couple of weeks, or at least since it has begun warming up, I have heard a little sparrow outside my front door. It is so pleasant to hear that little chirp first thing in the morning! I have seen it several times, and I thought that it was sitting in my flowers. It flys away the minute we open the front door, and once I even saw it dart inside when I went out to get the mail. (It flew right back out to my relief) Today I went out to check the mail and pick up all the socks in my front yard. As I walked back towards the house, I noticed that my wreath on the front door looked really aweful. As I got closer, however, I became delighted that at the top of my wreath, snuggled against the door is a little birds nest. The sparrow has nested right against the wreath! Blake and I checked inside, and sure enough... five little speckled eggs! Now I am putting a sign on the front door that it is out of commission because it has an active role in the development of our babies! Do you think that this will add to the value of our home!?! If I can ever get the time to add pictures to this site, I will show you all just how cute it is! Now if I can just keep Ben and Jack out of it...

Catch up!
Wow, hello fellow bloggers! It has been a while! To update you, Ben DID get baptized, and in fact I had to laugh, because before they opened the curtain for the font, there was this big splash, and Ben had dove in to the water! (I know... you are all thinking how that is what you always wanted to do...)
As for me, school is over. Officially. I quit my job at Shelley, and am currently working on my practicum for my masters in administration. Blake is working in Ogden, and we are looking at moving that direction if the house ever sells.
Haley is wanting to take drivers ed. NOW! Chase is growing up, and I am trying to get him to take a summer job mowing our neighbors lawns, so our house will look better to prospective buyers! (A win-win situation don't you think?!?) Ben is to smart for his own good, but once in a while he comes up and gives me a hug and tells me he loves me. That makes the world go around, doesn't it! Jack- well he is Jack- He can count to 30 and tell me the days of the week. He knows his alphabet, but if you really want to see him smile, start talking to him in a made-up language. You will have hours of laughter and conversation, even though you won't have any idea what is being said! Love you all! Katie

Been A While
Having taken a sebatical from the blogging world, I must say that it is good to be back! We are preparing for Benny's baptism, and I am in the midst of 4th quarter at SHS, while trying to pass my stats class. Easter is Sunday, and we are not ready for any hunts tomorrow! I haven't even boiled any eggs! We put in new flooring, it is very pretty. Now if I can just get the walls painted, think that I will have the kitchen finished. Perhaps next week, if I can work it all in! Now it is off to bed, or in my case, perhaps the couch. Blake has taken to snoring lately, and it drives me to distraction!
