Summer Delights
For the past couple of weeks, or at least since it has begun warming up, I have heard a little sparrow outside my front door. It is so pleasant to hear that little chirp first thing in the morning! I have seen it several times, and I thought that it was sitting in my flowers. It flys away the minute we open the front door, and once I even saw it dart inside when I went out to get the mail. (It flew right back out to my relief) Today I went out to check the mail and pick up all the socks in my front yard. As I walked back towards the house, I noticed that my wreath on the front door looked really aweful. As I got closer, however, I became delighted that at the top of my wreath, snuggled against the door is a little birds nest. The sparrow has nested right against the wreath! Blake and I checked inside, and sure enough... five little speckled eggs! Now I am putting a sign on the front door that it is out of commission because it has an active role in the development of our babies! Do you think that this will add to the value of our home!?! If I can ever get the time to add pictures to this site, I will show you all just how cute it is! Now if I can just keep Ben and Jack out of it...

Catch up!
Wow, hello fellow bloggers! It has been a while! To update you, Ben DID get baptized, and in fact I had to laugh, because before they opened the curtain for the font, there was this big splash, and Ben had dove in to the water! (I know... you are all thinking how that is what you always wanted to do...)
As for me, school is over. Officially. I quit my job at Shelley, and am currently working on my practicum for my masters in administration. Blake is working in Ogden, and we are looking at moving that direction if the house ever sells.
Haley is wanting to take drivers ed. NOW! Chase is growing up, and I am trying to get him to take a summer job mowing our neighbors lawns, so our house will look better to prospective buyers! (A win-win situation don't you think?!?) Ben is to smart for his own good, but once in a while he comes up and gives me a hug and tells me he loves me. That makes the world go around, doesn't it! Jack- well he is Jack- He can count to 30 and tell me the days of the week. He knows his alphabet, but if you really want to see him smile, start talking to him in a made-up language. You will have hours of laughter and conversation, even though you won't have any idea what is being said! Love you all! Katie
